Vanessa Bal, Ph.D.

Dr. Vanessa Bal is an Associate Professor and Karmazin and Lillard Chair in Adult Autism at Rutgers University – New Brunswick. She is a licensed clinical psychologist in New Jersey and director of the LifeSPAN ASD Lab. Her research program emphasizes a lifespan perspective to furthering understanding of autism spectrum disorder in adulthood. Her expertise centers on assessment and measurement of clinical behavioral phenotypes in neurodevelopmental disorders to inform interdisciplinary approaches to delineating biological-behavioral associations and characterization of strengths and challenges in autistic adults.
